Synchronicity, coincidence or a random act?
You were about to dial someone’s number and the person called. You were thinking of something and an advertisement on television gave you the answer. On and on…
Did anything similar happened to you too? It happened to me and even more, I had a symbolic dream of someone completing suicide and the next morning found out he killed himself…
There are events deeper than our understanding. Some very smart scholars, such as Carl Jung, called such an event synchronicity. I call it fate, you might call it a coincidence or think it is a random act. That is, if you are an atheist. I am not for the simple, selfish act of liking to have HOPE that I, we, are part of something bigger and more significant than our present perception.
What triggered this post? As most of my posts, an event which I think could improve YOUR life. Here’s today’s event:
I was going to my Representative’s Office to get information on the Medicare Bill and the threat to cut by 21% payments to doctors who accept Medicare patients. WHO ARE THOSE? Anyone over 65, disabled and if you are not dead by 65, YOU TOO. The alternative is DEAD!
I parked in a public lot and my eyes were attracted by a car, yes, an old car, which displayed a LOT of writing all over it. I stopped to read. I never stop to read advertising on cars, but this time I did. Why? I have NO idea.
What I read was:
Everyone of us shall give account of himself to GOD.
Romans 14:12.
I crossed the street, opened the door to the politicians’ office and asked for the information about Medicare cuts. Our life depends on our actions and what my grandmother told me a long time ago, holds true:
God Helps Those Who Help Themselves! Are YOU doing your best!
